Clean air and no diesel smells for Feyenoord Football Club

Introduction

The pitch at De Kuip Stadium, Rotterdam, home of Dutch professional football club Feyenoord, is meticulously maintained by Grass Master, Erwin Bletman and his team.

The challenge

A few years ago, all the grounds maintenance equipment and lawn mowers were running on diesel. Much of Erwin’s teams time is spent walking behind the diesel mowers surrounded by the smell of diesel.

The solution

After seeing – and smelling – the cleaner burning, alternative to diesel the club made the switch immediately to enable cleaner air for the grounds maintenance team and visitors to the stadium. The club are still using GTL Fuel to fuel their on pitch success!
