Fantastic Fox Wood PTA

Warrington, England

The story behind this project
Every child deserves to play. This project will build Warrington’s first fully wheelchair-accessible playground at Fox Wood School. A joyful, sensory-rich space where children with disabilities can play safely and freely alongside their peers. Vote for this project to build a place of laughter, movement and belonging for hundreds of children across the SEND community.

Why this project should win
“It would mean the absolute world to our school to win the Community Bloom Fund. 40% of our pupils are currently in wheelchairs, who really want to have an accessible outside area with a wheelchair swing and play frame. It would be a dream come true for these children.”Rachael Penn, Chair of Fantastic Fox Wood PTA

Melksham Parish Room

Melksham, England

The story behind this project
Help breathe new life into Melksham’s historic Parish Room, a central community space in need of a transformation. This project will restore flood-damaged interiors and structure, upgrade outdated facilities, and create a safer, more accessible space for all ages and abilities. From toddler groups to craft cafes, this will be a place of connection, care and community.

Why this project should win
“We’re right in the heart of Melksham. All sorts of community members use this space, but we need help to expand and accommodate the larger groups we currently have to turn away. We’d love help to make this space truly accessible and welcoming for everyone.” – Hannah Thomson, Project Volunteer.

Polmont Community Hub

Polmont, Falkirk, Scotland

The story behind this project
On the site of a former school, volunteers are breathing new life into two acres of green space, creating a sustainable, zero-waste community hub from the ground up. With plans for a garden and orchard, tool library, mindfulness cafe, and outdoor learning spaces, this grassroots project is all about resilience, regeneration, and circular living. Vote to help turn this raw potential into a thriving centre for community and climate action.

Why this project should win
“This funding will transform our community, creating a beautiful, welcoming space. We are committed to leaving a legacy, recognising that we only borrow this space from the next generation. From mental wellbeing initiatives to inclusive play areas, and even planting trees, our goal is to build a thriving community everyone can be proud of.” – Kenny Alexander, Sustainability Manager for Polmont Community Hub

Incredible Egerton

Bolton, England

The story behind this project
Incredible Egerton is transforming their much-loved community garden into a vibrant, inclusive sanctuary for all. With improved accessibility, a sensory fairy garden, safe pathways, and eco-friendly upgrades, this space will bloom with biodiversity, workshops, and connection. Vote to help this vital green space continue to support families, neurodiverse individuals and isolated residents.

Why this project should win
“If we were lucky enough to win Certas Energy’s Community Bloom Fund, we would continue creating a community facility for everyone, young and old. With time comes change. We want to create a sensory garden for neurodivergent children and as a safe space for those with dementia. We’d love to make our outside space a place for everyone to enjoy.” – Lynne Cubbin, Founder member of Incredible Egerton
