RE: Middle East and Fuel Supply

As you are no doubt aware, the events currently taking place in the Middle East are causing not only humanitarian concerns, but also potential impacts to industries. Certas Energy is the largest independent distributor of liquid fuels in the UK with a robust national supply chain through our many supply partners. As your trusted fuel partner, we write to advise you that we are working hard to minimise potential disruption to your business wherever it is possible for us to do so.

Whilst facing unforeseen issues and challenges outside of our control, Certas Energy has contractual supply agreements with virtually all major refineries and importers across the UK and we are utilising our entire national depot network and large tanker fleet to continue to support our customers.

We remain in continual and open dialogue with customers, suppliers, the fuel trade association and government departments to contribute and respond to the evolving situation, working together to identify solutions and to minimise disruption. You can be reassured that we have a robust business continuity mechanism in place, enabling us to consider alternative supply sources as well as to prioritise deliveries appropriately when needed. It may however become necessary to re-route supplies to meet your fuel needs and therefore, there may be potential for some unavoidable extended lead times dependent on how the overseas situation evolves.
