The holiday year runs from 1 January to 31 December each year. Employees with less than 2 years of service are entitled to: 28 working days paid at basic daily rate (20 annual leave + 8 public holidays)
After 2 years of service this is enhanced to: 33 working days paid at basic daily rate (25 annual leave + 8 public holidays)
Holiday, Buy and Sell
Permanent employees can apply to sell up to 3 days and buy up to 5 days from the next holiday year, with management agreement. Applications are normally made in the previous holiday year around November for the changes to apply in the next holiday year.
After 12 months continuous service employees are entitled to enahnced company sick pay provisions.
Permanent employees are invited to join a contributory pension scheme; 3% employee contributions and 4% employer contributions.
In line with legislation permanent employees with 3 months continuous service will be automatically enrolled into the scheme at a 3% employee contribution rate and 3% employer contribution rate.
The company operates a life assuance policy for all employees up to the age of 70 years old which provides for a lump sum payment in the event of death in service. Subject to trust deed the provision is as follows; 16 to 64 Years 4 X Base salary & 64 to 70 Years 2 X Base salary.
Long Service Awards
In partnership with Cotrills, the Company recognises 25, 35 and 45 Years of Continuous Service by awarding points which can be spent on high quality brands and goods.

Occupational Health provisions via qualified OH Advisers and Physicians to assist with rehabilitation and remedial action plans.
Back in Action (Physio Therapy Care)

In line with the HMRC rules employees can apply to participate in the childcare voucher salary sacrifice scheme providing tax relief against the cost of childcare.
There is a Certas salary sacrifice scheme operated in line with HMRC rules and provides discounts against the purchase of cycles and cycle equipment.

We are committed to providing quality training and personal development for colleagues at all levels throughout Certas Energy and have a varied range of activities and programmes on offer.
