Honey & Cinnamon Air Fryer Pears

Ingredients

  • 2 pears
  • 4 small cubes of butter (approx. 4 teaspoons)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Greek yogurt (for serving)
  • Honey (for serving)
  • Chopped nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, or almonds) or pumpkin seeds for serving

Method

  • Peel the pears and slice them in half lengthwise. Scoop out the core to create a small well in each half.
  • Place a cube of butter into the well of each pear half.
  • Place the pear halves in the air fryer, cut side up. Set the air fryer to 170°C and cook for 5 minutes to melt the butter.
  • After 5 minutes, open the air fryer and use a brush to spread the melted butter over the entire surface of each pear half.
  • In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the pears.
  • Return the pears to the air fryer and cook for another 10-12 minutes at 170°C, or until the pears are tender and slightly caramelised.
  • Place a dollop of Greek yoghurt on the plate, add the pears, drizzle with honey and sprinkle with chopped nuts or pumpkin seeds as desired.
