Win Fuel For A Year - Terms and Conditions
This promotion is open to Certas Energy UK Limited (“Certas Energy”) customers and prospective customers in England, Scotland and Wales aged 18 years or over, excluding employees and their immediate families of the Certas Energy and its associated companies in the DCC PLC group, its agencies or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.
Proof of age and address may be required.
To enter the promotion you must complete the required fields on the website or send your name, address and marketing preferences to Certas Energy UK Limited, Domestic Marketing Team, 302 Bridgewater Place, Birchwood Park, Warrington, Cheshire WA3 6XG.
Submission of an entry will be deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions, and any other requirements set out in the promotional material as if they were set out in these terms and conditions.
The promotion opens on the 20th June 2022 and closes on 31st July 2022 (the “Promotional Period”).
There is one prize available which consists of a maximum of 2,000 litres of free [premium] heating oil fuel (the “Prize”).
The limit of 2,000 litres has been determined as sufficient to provide free heating fuel for a year based on the average household usage over 12 months.
The winner will be the first entry drawn at random. The random draw for the Prize will take place on 8th August 2022. Certas Energy’s decision is final in all promotional matters and no correspondence will be entered into. The winners will be notified within seven days of the draw date.
The value of the Prize will be placed on the winner’s customer account (new customers will have to set up a new account) for the winner, and only the winner to use between 15th August 2022 and 15th August 2023. The winners will forfeit any of the Prize that has not been used by 16th August 2023. The winners must have a functioning and suitable heating oil tank where the Prize can be safely delivered to, if the winner of each prize does not, in Certas Energy’s sole opinion, have a suitable tank then the winner shall forfeit the Prize.
The Win Fuel for a Year promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer/promotion.
The winners may be asked to cooperate with Certas Energy for reasonable publicity purposes if so required and no payment will be offered.
Certas Energy has the right to disqualify any entry not made in accordance with these terms and conditions or which it has reason to believe has been made in bad faith. Only one entry per person is permitted.
In the event that a claim for the Prize is not received by Certas Energy within 28 days of notification by us, or Certas Energy is otherwise unable to contact the drawn winner, Certas Energy reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to a reserve selected at the same time as the original (or to draw another winner if necessary).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Certas Energy shall not be liable for any loss and/or personal injury suffered by the winners as a result of their participation in the promotion.
Certas Energy reserves the right to withdraw, amend or temporarily suspend the promotion in its absolute discretion, provided that it shall not exercise this right unreasonably.
The promotion and these terms are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
